The zero day in Kennedy Meadows was a delightful surprise, starting with a hearty breakfast of blueberry pancakes at the General Store. I was amazed at how quickly my stomach filled up, despite the all-you-can-eat offer. Thankfully, Boostie came to the rescue and devoured the remaining pancakes, ensuring I didn't go hungry. This set the tone for a fun-filled day ahead.
The shuttle ride to Grumpy Bear's was a welcome break, allowing me to recharge my phone and jot down some thoughts. While the food at Grumpy Bear's was pricier than the General Store, it was a small price to pay for a potentially better dining experience. However, my frugal nature prevailed, and I opted for the cheaper option.
Back at the General Store, I indulged in a chicken, bacon, and ranch wrap with avocado, a delicious and satisfying meal. Boostie, ever the responsible companion, ventured inside to purchase a pack of beer, while I stocked up on soda for the evening. The anticipation of a fun night with the tramily was palpable.
But fate had other plans. Rawhide, ever the prankster, had left a surprise in the Aussies' tent vestibule, and I was determined to be the first to witness their reaction. Rawhide's friend had sent him a goofy care package, and we couldn't resist leaving it in the hammock, hoping it would bring laughter to others as well.
As the day progressed, the tramily decided to call it a night early, but the fun didn't end there. The surprise left by Rawhide and his friend became the highlight of the evening, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction in being the first to uncover their mischievous plan.
This zero day in Kennedy Meadows was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the unexpected twists of adventure. It reminded me that sometimes, the best moments are the ones we don't see coming, and the memories we create along the way are what truly define our journey.
